BigCommerce, named a 2022 Top Workplace in Texas by Great Place to Work (Forbes), is looking for an Office and Experience Coordinator (Contractor-Part Time) who will create a lasting, positive impression on all individuals who walk through the BigCommerce office.  In this hourly position, you will act as the primary office support for our Downtown Austin office and champion the office’s cultural initiatives and activities. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Global Real Estate and Facilities.  

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the office reception area including welcoming visitors personally and demonstrating a positive attitude at all times
  • In-person attendance in our Downtown Austin office is expected for this position (16-20 hours per week)
  • Manage security badges 
  • Respond to employee requests for office equipment, furniture, supplies (including snacks), and building maintenance
  • Straighten up the office as needed
  • Partner with IT and HR for on-boarding and off-boarding employees
  • Perform mail support - send / receive / distribute mail
  • Escalate maintenance issues for resolution 
  • Support office safety program, including enforcing any COVID prevention measures as required
  • Scheduling assistance 
  • Support company and office culture and events 
  • Provide occasional front-desk support at the Austin HQ location 
  • Support onsite events for employees and outside guests
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as needed and all other duties as assigned

Who You Are

  • This is an entry-level role, previous experience in hospitality, retail, or service industry preferred, administrative experience a strong plus
  • Strong computer skills, including GMail, Google Docs, Microsoft Office applications
  • Understand that opinions are often created by impressions and know how to make the right impression on visitors, peers, guests and candidates
  • Passionate about customer service
  • Have a calm and pleasant demeanor when addressing the unexpected
  • Someone who lives in the details, thinks about processes and knows how to get and keep things organized
  • Energized by interacting with people and enjoy playing a central role in the office
  • Looking for a contractor part-time only position and have a flexible schedule, 16-20 hours per week (no evenings or weekends)
  • Parking is provided
